Romantic Fashion hugged the rail coming to the last and scooted away from Shaunas Dream and Fair Funny to land the mares maiden hurdle over two and a quarter miles in Limerick.
The 7/2 shot came home best to win by two and three quarter lengths. Shaunas Dream got second-placed money at 12/1, half a length in front of Fair Funny at 7/1.
Kymin’s Way, the 9/4 favourite, didn’t jump fluently and couldn’t get involved at the business end in finishing sixth.
Winning trainer Prunella Dobbs said: “Mikey couldn’t have ridden her any better. He gave her a breather at the right time. She’s very game and consistent, but is also very lazy and has to be ridden every minute of the race.
“She likes this ground and will stay further and we’ll keep her going through the winter.”
Romantic Fashion likes it round Limerick as she was following up on a bumper win there in November.
Dobbs herself had a winner at Limerick yesterday with Windsor Queen.
