Batts Rock justified 4/7 favouritism in the last at Bellewstown, the Fast Terminals (Q.R) Race, as he led home a 1, 2 for trainer Gordon Elliott.
Previously trained in the UK by Michael Bell, the five-year-old son of Fastnet Rock was bought for 68,000 guineas at Tattersalls last October.
Making his debut for Elliott this evening, he took closer order from three furlongs out, and hit the front with over a furlong left to race, keeping on well under pressure from there to score by a length and a quarter under Lisa O'Neill. Percy (4/1) finished second with Conor Orr aboard, while Jack The Wire was another five and a half lengths back in third.
Elliott, who trains the winner for owner Noel Moran, said afterwards: "He'll be alright and he'll do a job. He could be a horse for the Ladies Derby or something like that."
