Rock Street Easily Takes Feature
The defection of Dooneys Gate on veterinary advice from the Powerstown Chase took away some of the interest from the event but it saw a good winner in the shape of Rock Street who beat Allez Petit Luis by a convincing four and a half lengths.
Trainer Robert Tyner, whose horses have been in sparkling form 'between the flags' lately, sent out this course and distance winner with Philip Enright in the plate for owner Cyril Wall.
Mary Tyner, wife of the winning handler, said: "He did it nicely and he went better on the ground than we were expecting. The gluey ground was a small worry but he seemed to enjoy it though he was lucky as he appeared to clip heels coming down the hill. We'll try to find a winners of two for him now." (EM)
