The Gordon Elliott-trained Ringdufferin backed up his recent Downpatrick success with a game front-running performance in the Jack Duggan Memorial Handicap at Gowran Park this afternoon.
Jordan Gainford was positive on the Kalanisi gelding as he cut out the running and his mount stuck on well in the closing stages.
The 8/1 shot galloped on strongly from the last to post a six-and-a-half length win over Walking On Glass
Assistant Ian Amond said:- “Jordan just kept it simple, he bounced him out as he knew he stay going. He didn't think there was going to be a whole lot of pace in it.
“It was straight-forward, he stayed at it well and jumped well and did everything right. He's improving away.
“It's great for Bill and Alan (Dunlop) who made the long trip down, so it was worthwhile for them. They always have a couple of horses in the yard so it's great it worked out for them.”
