Rigoletta (6/1) bounced back to form to edge out Jpevie in the closing mile and a quarter race at Fairyhouse under a strong drive from Kevin Manning.
The pair came down the stands side to beat Shane Foley and Jpevie (10/1) by a nose. It was a length and a quarter back to 5/2 favourite Mahaazen in third.
Afterwards Ger Flynn, travelling head lad for Jim Bolger, said: “She handled the soft ground in Wexford [second on August 24]. She battled well today. Kevin said that the ground was marginally better on this side.
“She won in Dundalk so she’s handled all sorts of ground now.”
On her last racecourse appearance Rigoletta ran 13th at the Curragh, but put that run behind her this evening.
The winner paid 9.20 euro on the Tote.
