Richelieu and connections after his Dundalk success

Richelieu took division two of the 47 to 65 six furlong handicap on this card for the second year in succession when he came home best down the outer to prevail by half a length from Bangalore Diamond Chris Hayes did the steering on the successful eleven-year-old at Dundalk.
Taking his lifetime score to seven wins, this victory wasn't unexpected either as the Machiavellian gelding was backed into 9/2 from 8/1 earlier in the day.
In-form winning trainer Jimmy Lambe said: "He's old and he's tricky. It was good to get his head in front again tonight.
"Hopefully he might win another little one like that again." (AM & EM)
