Rhythm Divine followed up on her Downpatrick victory with a game success in the Bluegrass Horse Feeds Mullacurry Cup Handicap Hurdle at Bellewstown.
The 13/8 favourite appeared to be in a spot of bother racing to two out as Darragh O’Keeffe got busy in the saddle in second behind the leader Kilkeaskins First
To add to her trouble Dollar Value loomed large in third apparently full of running.
However, she produced a good jump at the penultimate flight which took her into the lead as Kilkeaskins First came under pressure.
Dollar Value found little before the last and it was Rhythm Divine who set sail for home. She drew clear on the run-in to score by five lengths.
Kilkeaskins First got a runner-up reward at 8/1 and was six lengths clear of Dollar Value (7/1).
“She's brilliant. We were worried about the ground, even though she has run well on bad ground before in fairness to her, as she's definitely better on better ground,” said trainer Tom Gibney.
“She's just a lovely mare by a class sire. She's done very little wrong since we've got her, she's consistent and professional. Horses like her are easy to train.”
