Retrievethelegend Scores
Well-handicapped over hurdles, the grey, Retrievethelegend ran out a ready five and a half length winner of the Festival Shopping Village Handicap Hurdle in the hands of Andrew Lynch.
Runner-up was the gamble of the contest, Tooman Lane (14s into 7s). Quite easy to back favourite, Meadows Thyne finished a never really dangerous sixth.
Winning trainer, Jim Dreaper said: "The last day was a classic case of a horse just not staying (ran in a three and a half mile chase here). He always does his best. In his earlier days he had his problems with the course designer, he kept putting the fences in the wrong places!" (EM)
