Reed silks get successful airing at Dundalk
Well-known veteran owner Guy Reed enjoyed a Dundalk success as the visitors from cross-channel recorded a one two in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Handicap (Fillies). The Kevin Ryan-trained grey with Declan McDonogh up beat Richard Fahey's Sioux Rising by three lengths.
Early in the straight Willie Supple got unseated from Lady Fashion who stumbled after clipping heels with Posh Cracker Well over a furlong out Blue Moon led and the daughter of Trade Fair kept on well to score convincingly.
McDonogh said: "She is blind in one eye and ran about a bit under me.
"She is obviously a filly going the right way. I just got beat on one for Kevin at York last week. It's nice to make up for it."
