Co Wexford based trainer Philip Redmond saddled Florida Express to win The Glen Chase at odds of 33/1 under Shane Jackson.

Jackson was prominent throughout, led from 5th, clear from 3 out, joined approaching straight but stayed on well to hold off the efforts of the 5/4 favourite Scotsirish of Willie Mullins.

Winning trainer Redmond said afterwards, "We were expecting a good run today but didn't think he'd win. He's improved plenty and loves the heavy ground and would stay forever. I have my training licence out a year and that's my second winner on the track."
