Shona Mea (11/2 into 9/2) brought up a Gowran double for Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley to keep up their blinding level of form in the concluding Kilkenny’s Medieval Mile Handicap.
Half-an-hour on from their success with Bella Brazil handicap debutant Shona Mea was lively from the gates.
Always to the fore then, the Irish National Stud-bred 5,000 Euro foal ran out a good winner, and held Sweet Justice by a length.
"She came forward very well from last year as she was big and weak but did very very well over the winter and has improved,” said Mrs Harrington’s daughter Kate.
"Hopefully there is another handicap in her and it is lovely to win for her owner Pat Harty and his wife Bridie who hasn't been well."
The Stewards informed Thomas Cooper, trainer that Miss Adventurous would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
