Redera scores for Hayes/Gorman
Chris Hayes arrived late on Jim Gorman's Redera to win the ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival Handicap at Ballinrobe this evening. Across The Rhine appeared to have the race in safe-keeping a furlong out but Redera battled well under a strong drive to eventually to get his head in front close home for a three parts length win.
Gorman himself was absent but his assistant Aidan 'Mouse' O'Ryan did report “Redera is a tough sort and was a bit unlucky the last day. He'll probably go for another handicap at The Curragh on Sunday.”
