Rebel with a cause
Rebel Aclaim trained by Paul Cashman for his father Liam, showed admirable battling qualities to record her third career win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
The daughter of Acclamation made virtually all in the mile event and, after Drombeg Dawn drew alongside with what appeared a winning challenge in the straight, Rebel Aclaim dug deep under Danny Mullins to prevail by a gutsy three quarters of a length.
“She likes dictating things and the bit of fresh ground today was a help. If she gets into a handicap here on Saturday then she could run again,” said Cashman, who also reported that his charge was covered earlier this year but failed to go in foal.
