Real Appeal (14/1) landed the Group 2 Clipper Logistics Boomerang Mile to complete a quick 389/1 double for Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley.
The 4-year-old gelding was held up in rear of mid-division on the rail before being angled out for a run over a furlong out.
He quickened up very smartly to lead inside the final furlong and, despite edging left under pressure, kept on well to hold the stands’ side closers Fev Rover and Horoscope by half a length and a neck.
Eventual fifth Maker Of Kings was hampered in the final furlong when the winner went left and Foley, who had picked up a five day ban in the preceding Matron Stakes, was again found in breach of the rules regarding careless riding and incurred a further three day suspension.
A son of the Exceed and Excel horse Sidestep, the winner had twice won over seven furlongs at this venue earlier in the year in handicap and Group 3 company.
Winning trainer Jessica Harrington, successful half an hour earlier in the Matron Stakes with No Speak Alexander said: “I don't think my heart will stand much more, it's still pounding.
“To have two winners on Champions Day is absolutely amazing. We came here today saying we could have one of those nearly weekends, with everything running really well and not getting a winner.
“Now to have two winners is absolutely amazing. For No Speak Alexander to win a Group 1 is great.
“Shane came in and said Real Appeal is 10lb better here than any other racecourse. He's won three races here now and he does nothing but improve.
“It's the first time he's won over a mile and it's really worked out. He's a funny horse, when he gets to the front he pulls himself up.”
