Rayhani lands gamble in Limerick opener
Rayhani a four-time winner on the level, landed a gamble (5s in the morning and 11/4 into 6/4 on track) under David Casey for owner Ian Murphy and trainer James Nash in the Bet On-Course With Tote Maiden Hurdle at Limerick.
The Darley bred led before two out and he quickly put the issue beyond doubt, a 'bunny hop' at the last doing nothing to stop his momentum as he crossed the line five lengths to the good over Golden Grimshaw (later disqualified as his rider, Andrew McNamara failed to weigh in and he received a 5-day ban).
In-form winning trainer, Nash said: "We've no real plan now but we'll probably find a little winners race for him. The better ground obviously brought about a lot of improvement."
