Rathvinden recorded his third win over fences when taking the Allman Contracts Ltd Novice Chase in runaway fashion at Listowel.
The Heron Island gelding, on the sidelines for over two years before returning last winter, was adding to wins this summer at Wexford and Galway.
Ruby Walsh ’s mount pulled away from chief market rival Three Wise Men approaching the straight, and made his only mistake when hitting two out.
The 8/11 favourite was soon back on an even keel and came home an easy 20 lengths clear.
Winning trainer Willie Mullins said, “He did a nice piece of work this week so we thought he might be in better form than he was in Killarney. We will do more of the same with him and there would be no trouble going up in trip.
“He was getting lengths at some of his fences. He jumps and stays and I just hope he stays right after all the trouble that he’s had.”
