Rampere West ridden by Ricky Doyle, was a 20/1 winner of the Wexford Heritage Trails Handicap Hurdle.
The four-year-old by Affinisea, trained by Mark Fahey for Pegasus Racing Ltd, was making his handicap debut and made good headway from mid-division to move into second place two out.
In front before the final flight, the chesnut stayed on well to account for Technology by three-and-three-quarter lengths.
"He was fourth in a bumper at Leopardstown on debutand then he was third on first start over hurdles at Roscommon," said Fahey.
"He had a couple of average efforts after that. I was just a bit worried today as he was the only four-year-old in the race. He got the allowance for that but he did surprise me. I didn't think he would be as forward going and ready for that, taking on older horses.
"I'm on a good bit of luck at the minute and hopefully it'll continue."
