Raisin claims opener at Limerick
The opening Irish Mirror Maiden at Limerick this evening was won by the 5/1 outsider Rum Raisin from the John Murphy stable.
Seamie Heffernan who made all aboard the Invincible Spirit filly were clear inside the final furlong and kept on well to record an easy five and a half length win over An Saighdiur
George Murphy son of the winning trainer said afterwards: “She loves the real fast ground and she got a great ride today.”
“She has been unlucky a few times and has been placed. She wasn’t too far away on her last run.”
“She will go for a conditions race next.”
