Rain doesn't stop Shiyrman
The heavy rain didn't stop the Michael Halford trained Shiyrman running out a 1 1/2 length victory of The Macetown Maiden in the hands of Fran Berry.
Winning trainer Halford said afterwards, "Fran said he did it well, that he travelled and quickened up well. We'll see what kind of a mark he gets now. He's a very laid back horse with a great attitude, he's a smashing horse and hopefully he progresses well."
Due to thunder and lightening in the area stalls were not used for this race.
