Ragtime Red took his score over an extended ten furlongs at Dundalk to three, popping up at odds of 22/1 in the Follow Us On Social Media Handicap.
Anthony McCann ’s charge raced in mid-division, making headway three furlongs out under Billy Lee.
The Red Jazz gelding improved to dispute the lead and was ridden two furlongs out.
He led over a furlong out, staying on well in the final furlong to defeat Quiet Desire by two and three parts of a length.
“He has been very unlucky the last couple of times,” said McCann.
“He finished fourth the time before but just missed the kick completely last time.
“Billy won on him before so I decided to put him back on him to see if he could get a better swing out of him.
“He was well in. He's a 45-65 horse and it's great to get one on the board for Rita Shah (owner).”
A.C. Persse, rider of Monsieur Piquer (FR) trained by Christian Delcros, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.
