Ahead of the opening day of Irish Derby weekend, the ground at the Curragh remains Good, Good to Firm in places after selective watering on both tracks yesterday.
From noon the track anticipates 5-7mm of rain into this evening. A mainly dry night is expected. Tomorrow is forecast to be mostly dry with rain arriving tomorrow night into Sunday. There is the possibility of 5-10mm of rain on Sunday.
Today's action gets under way at 5pm and the feature is the Group 2 Comer Group International Curragh Cup (6.43).
Aidan O'Brien 's 108-rated Wordsworth who was last seen finishing unplaced in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot, heads the market for this staying test over 1m6f. O'Brien also saddles Temple Of Artemis and Sussex in the feature.
The two mile race today (8.28) will be a tape start instead of from stalls.
