Having landed the opener down in Limerick trainer Declan Queally struck again in the first race at Ballinrobe with another all-the-way winner, the well-backed Diamond Nora
The point-to-point winner had been well beaten in two maiden hurdle outings this year but left that form well behind when scoring at 16/1, having been as big as 150/1 this morning.
Kevin Sexton gave the Diamond Boy mare a positive ride and she found plenty when tackled by Burvea after the second last.
Diamond Nora galloped on strongly to assert after the final flight and record a three-and-a-quarter length win.
Sexton said afterwards: "Declan's horses are always fit. It was a bad race and she'd won a three mile point-to-point so he said to make a bit of use of her.
"Her last run at Gowran wasn't bad, she probably got stuck in the ground a bit there, and in fairness to her today I made plenty of use of her and she did nothing but stay at it.
"The better ground definitely suited and she jumped better on it as well."
