Arcadian Sunrise shot clear of his rivals to easily win the extended two mile handicap hurdle in Punchestown.
Denis O'Regan 's mount tanked through the field coming to the final quarter of a mile as the contenders bunched up.
He cruised to the front at the last hurdle and merely had to be pushed clear to take the spoils by a healthy six lengths.
Arcadian Sunrise went off the 11/4 favourite having been available at 5/1 in the morning. Future Proof took second at 33/1, half a length in front of 8/1 shot Cousin Harry who came from a long way back. He had been the subject of a morning-price gamble.
Trainer John Queally said: “He has a bit of Flat speed and is rated 89 on the Flat. He’ll probably get a good hike for that and it might get him into a Galway Hurdle.
“We’ll mix it and will enter him in the two and a half miles Ascot Stakes. It is two weeks away but he didn’t take too much out of himself today.
“He’s a fun horse and my wife (Miriam) owns him which is even better!
“He was a bit unlucky here the last time at the Festival where he missed the break and was a long way back.”
