The Kevin Prendergast trained Qasser readily justified 8/13 favouritism to win the concluding Cork Racecourse Facebook Maiden at Cork today.
Qasser, beaten favourite on his last two (of three) starts, made no mistake today, making all and sticking to his task to comfortably hold the challenge of Epic Encounter by a length and three parts.
Prendergast was absent but McDonogh later reported “Qasser was taking a fair bit of a 'tug' so I decided to let him go on and he picked up well in the straight.
“He's in the Sales but I'm not really sure what is happening with him. We're lucky the ground dried for him as he would like better ground.”
