Fest Deiz (9/2) was a decisive winner of the 2m3f handicap chase in the hands of Donagh Meyler.

Kieran Purcell 's three-time hurdle winner, who had won his bumper at this track in 2019, was third in a beginners’ chase here last month and again showed his liking for the midlands venue. Despite one or two slight errors on the way around, he was always prominent and went away on the run to the last to beat Jack Hackett and Railway Hurricane by twelve lengths and half a length.

“It was a very brave performance from him and he jumped really well. He put them under pressure from the third last and they just couldn't go with him,” said Meyler.

“He had a great run here the last day and he backed it up today.

“It's great for Kieran and the lads at home. We're neighbours so it's nice to do it for them.

“Jumping is his main asset and if he can back that up again we'll be fairly pleased.”
