Waxies Dargle beats Harvey Logan at Limerick

The subject of support at fancy prices this morning, Waxies Dargle showed that to be shrewd money when he made a victorious career debut in the Munster (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race at Limerick.
Aidan O'Brien 's Draco looked like he had them all in trouble from early in the straight but he wilted a furlong out as it boiled down to a match between Waxies Dargle (Mikey Fogarty up) and Harvey Logan
In truth it was always looking as if the former would just about edge this one and he held off Harvey Logan (a Noel Meade/Nina Carberry first-timer) by half a length.
Winning owner Eamon Purcell is from Naas and he was on the score-sheet recently too courtesy of another Mickey Cleary-trained runner, Stoichkhov at Dundalk on March 8th.
Unfortunately Jane Mangan's mount Onwiththeparty came down around two furlongs out but thankfully both were okay afterwards. (TW & EM)
