Foildubh heads the field for the Panoramic Restaurant Handicap Chase at Punchestown today as he seeks his first success in 18 months.
A Grade Two winner for John Ryan in his pomp, he has not struck gold since landing a hurdles event at Thurles back in November 2013, but has run well in decent company, resulting in a rating of 140. Real Steel also sits on that mark and was most recently seen when finishing fourth behind Un De Sceaux at the Punchestown Festival. Fosters Cross is another familiar name in the line-up but punters are likely to latch on to Usa who finished a fine fourth in a competitive heat at the Festival meeting last time. The Game Changer also ran well at the Festival and is likely to be a short price in the Event Centre Beginners Chase for Gordon Elliott.
Jessica Harrington 's Macnicholson is also worthy of note, a comment which applies to the Willie Mullins-trained Daneking
Elliott fields another possible market leader as Le Grand Chene tackles the Go Racing In Kildare Handicap Chase.
Mullins appears to hold the key in the opening Kildare Hunt Club Maiden Hurdle with Limini
The four-year-old was a three-time winner in France and went through the sales ring for 100,000 euros at Arqana last October.
Aidan O'Brien 's Chamonix will try to improve on his debut effort, while point-to-point winner Ballyoisin makes his debut under Rules for Enda Bolger.
Neol Meade 's Champoleon is a likely type in the Punchestown For Events Maiden Hurdle, which also features Elliott's Officer Cadet
Augher Castle was not beaten far at Kilbeggan last time and he shoots for compensation in the punchestown.com Handicap Hurdle, while the closing Racing Again On 3rd June INH Flat Race features a likely Mullins favourite in Potters Point
He has finished second in two bumper starts so far, so a first victory should not be too far off.
