Peregrine Run made it three wins in-a-row as he took the Listed Dunraven Arms Hotel Novice Hurdle under Roger Loughran for Peter Fahey and owner Vincent Byrne.
Successful in a bumper at Killarney in August of 2015, the son of King's Theatre then disappointed on his next six runs.
He return to form to land a gamble in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal in August, before following up in convincing fashion in a handicap at Gowran.
Settled towards rear this afternoon, he was fifth with a circuit to race. He took closer order on the inner down the back straight, and jumped two out in second.
He was soon ridden to lead, and he kept on well under pressure on the run-in, going on to score by half a length. Screaming Rose (9/4) finished a gallant second under Ruby Walsh for Willie Mullins, while Electric Concorde (8's to 6's) was seven and a half lengths back in third. Carrig Cathal was sent off the 2/1 favourite and he finished a disappointing fourth under Davy Russell for Gordon Elliott.
Peter Fahey said afterwards: "He's definitely improving away. If the ground turns soft here he could go to the Open meeting at Cheltenham for a Graded novice. If it goes soft overall we can give him a break until next spring.
"You wouldn't know that he's improved much at home as he doesn't show a lot."
