Professional job by Nurse Ryan
Killenaule Co Tipperary based restricted trainer Martin Hassett recorded his first winner when his Nurse Ryan readily defied top weight to win the McWilliam Park Hotel Handicap Hurdle at Ballinrobe today
Runner-up on her handicap debut at Killarney last month, the daughter of Distant Music, under Shane Hassett, moved to the front after two out today, before soon stretching right away for an easy win over View From The Top
Afterwards trainer Martin Hassett, an uncle to the winning jockey, said “I only have my trainers’ license since April and that’s my first winner - it’s a real family operation with my brothers Paddy and Michael playing a big part.”
