The Willie Mullins trained Primroseandblue under Patrick Mullins, justified even money favourite to win the Wellingtonbridge Novice Hurdle at Wexford today.
The consistent (form figures of 21231-21) son of Shernazar moved to the front before the final flight and stayed on well on the run-in to easily defeat Audrelles Lad
Mullins Snr was not present but his son and winning jockey Patrick later said “we thought he'd do that as he is a 130 rated horse.
“He is a fantastic jumper – he'd jump around in the Champion Hurdle if he was good enough! I'd imagine he'll go chasing sooner rather that later and I think he is better on good ground.”
