Patrick Prendergast became the second trainer to complete an across-the-card double in Ireland today when his Namurian Sunset under Fergal Lynch, landed the concluding ISF EBF Median Auction (Fillies) Maiden at Gowran today.
Prendergast's Madam Mo earlier won another fillies' maiden at Sligo and after Namurian Sunset landed the concluding event at Gowran, the trainer joined Joe Murphy as the second to have gained winners at both Sligo and Gowran today.
Prendergast was at Sligo but Lynch did report “I'm delighted to ride a winner for Patrick as we were together at Sir Michael Stoute's at the same time when he was an assistant. He promised to give me a winner this season!
“She's a nice big filly and wasn't quite right the last time for whatever reason; she is much better racing from the front.”
