On start two for Patrick Prendergast Golden Dandy (8/1) stepped up a spot on her Limerick second placing from 24 days back to win the Follow Us On Facebook Killarney Races Maiden.
Ronan Whelan 's mount, a daughter of Dandy Man, gave generously for pressure up the straight to get the better of Pari Passu (10/1) by a length and a half.
Odds-on favourite Silk Cravat didn't come up to expectations and he only beat two home.
"She came to me from Paul Flynn and to be fair to to Paul he told me she would win one. I'd say she has just strengthened up," said Prendergast.
"I didn't look beyond trying to win a maiden with her. The guys are owner/breeders so I'd say that would be the long term plan. We'll see what sort of rating she gets but she is ready for stud.
"I'd say she will get further on better ground. I was expecting heavy ground this morning, and if it was I was going to take her out. I'm glad I didn't!"
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Allegio trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran out of racing room in the straight.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Rimshot ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Golden Dandy, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed first and Intense Stylist ridden by K.P. Moriarty, placed fifth.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was accidental and took no further action.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Silk Cravat (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
