The Kevin Prendergast trained Tamadhor showed the benefit of two previous runner-up efforts to win the opening race on the inaugural Irish Champions Weekend, in the Ballylinch Stud European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Leopardstown today.
Ridden by Chris Hayes, the daughter of Arcano overcame a wide draw in 13 to eventually record a half length win over the staying on newcomer Stellar Glow
Afterwards Prendergast stated “she did it well from the draw. I think at the Curragh (in August) the ground was impossible for her and on good ground today, she showed her true worth.
“She'll probably run in the CL Weld Stakes if the owner (Hamdan Al Maktoum) agrees and after that we'll see what happens.”
