Mohaayed (6/4) shaded it for favouritism in the four-runner Join The Gowran Park Racing Club Race, and the Intikhab colt achieved a three parts of a length win for Kevin Prendergast and Chris Hayes. Loch Garman (13/8) cut it out at the head of affairs but he was looking vulnerable on the rail in the straight, as Mohaayed and Mandamus came with their efforts on the outer in the final quarter mile.
In the end Mohaayed got the better of Mandamus by three parts of a length.
There were five and a half lengths and six and a half lengths to Loch Garman and Clonard Street (eased).
"He made hard enough work of it but the second is a handy enough horse," said Prendergast.
"There wasn't much between them in the Guineas trial earlier in the year and there was the same ground between them there.
"We're keeping him and we'll probably look at a race like the Gladness early in the spring with an ease in the ground. We'll see where he goes from there.
"Hopefully he'll progress over the winter."
