Pozyc was a warm order in the Inistioge Maiden Hurdle at Gowran but was made to work to land the spoils and give Willie Mullins a quick double.

Paul Townend was niggling along the even-money shot before the bend but he worked his way into contention before the last.

He jumped the final flight with a narrow lead and kept on well in the closing stages to score by a length-and-a-half from Take A Stroll

"He made nice progress from Clonmel. We'll mix it in the summer with him. He's still a maiden on the Flat," said Mullins.

"It might be a bit soon for Punchestown. We'll see how he comes out of it. He's still a bit green and Paul didn't want to be in front before the last."
