Grand National winning jockey Robbie Power claimed his third winner of the weekend when steering the Cathy O'Leary trained Conright Boy to win the Paddy Power Collect Your Bets In Any Shop Handicap Hurdle at Naas today.
Power, who rode two winners at Fairyhouse yesterday, had the son of Chevalier in a prominent position throughout and once the pair moved to the front after the second last, then kept going to hold off all challengers.
Conright Boy did jink left momentarily after jumping the second last but Power was wise to the danger and in the end the pair scored a three and three parts of a length win over Ice Cool
Afterwards O'Leary stated “when he gets a bit better ground he'll go a bit further.
“I've nothing planned for him as the ground is so bad at the moment. He'll get a fair old mark after today.
“Hopefully there'll be something nice for him in Punchestown where he should get a little bit better ground. He stays all day and will jump a fence but we'll wait until next season.”
