Espom Derby winner Pour Moi's three-parts brother Giant Redwood made a winning debut at Navan today, for Team Ballydoyle, grinding out a staying win in the two miles Come Racing On The Active Retirement Raceday 21st October Maiden.
Ridden by Joseph O'Brien the son of Galileo (Pour Moi being by Montjeu) needed the test of stamina to move through the gears and eventually stayed on strongly to lead in the closing stages, for a going away length and a quarter win over Bold Bid
Afterwards the winning jockey stated "he stays well and they went a nice even gallop. He put his head down and really tries and fought all the way to the line."
