Poker takes the bumper
Red Hot Poker was well-backed for the Jim Ryan Racecourse Services Flat Race and he duly made all to prevail by a length in the hands of Patrick Mullins.
Successful trainer and father of the winning rider, Willie said: "I wasn't expecting to win a winners bumper with him. He'll go hurdling now. The owner (Ann Bish) is from England and she also has Red Vinto and another filly that will run soon with me. They are all closely related and she bred them all herself."
