Piper Appreciates Transition to Handicaps
The Phantom Piper made a stylish handicap debut in the Tote Jackpot Races 3 To 6 Handicap Chase when running out an easy thirteen length winner in the hands of Niall 'Slippers' Madden.
Jumping difficulties that had dogged the son of Snurge in previous outings were not in evidence this time as he led from three out and the 7/1 shot soon had the two and a half miler in the bag.
Winning trainer, Mouse Morris said the Galway Blazers was now a possibility for the gelding owned by the We've Bought The Hats Syndicate who didn't go unbacked.
