The consistent Pilgrim Way gained the second win of his career when claiming the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle at Tipperary this evening.
Sean Flanagan settled the 6/1 shot mid-division before taking closer order turning for home.
Mark Cahill 's charge hit the front before the last and kept on well in the closing stages to beat Plain Talking by a length-and-a-half.
The winner had gained his previous victory at Navan last September and had followed that up with four runner-up efforts. He had been sixth in a large field at Cork on his most recent outing.
"He wants that ground and will have another run run in a similar handicap next. He'll go chasing then and will be kept on the go,” said Cahill.
