Piano Star lands another Midlands National
The Michael Cunningham-trained Piano Star made it back to back wins in the Gigginstown House Midlands National after running out an easy 12 length victor in the hands of Sean Flanagan.
Flanagan had the Darshaan gelding in mid-division before taking closer order approaching three out.
He improved to lead at the last where a great jump sent him on his way to a cosy success.
Winning trainer Cunningham said afterwards, “The ground probably suited him better this year. He loves this type of ground and unfortunately he just never got it in the past year.
"He ran very well in three mile hurdle at the Punchestown Festival and he’s been running on the flat lately. He will now take his chance in the Galway Plate.”
