Peak Oil burns off rivals
The concluding www.kilbegganraces.ie Bumper at Kilbeggan this evening went to the Tom Hogan trained Peak Oil under James Carroll.
The son of Cyrano De Bergerac got the better of a battle with newcomer Fairview Star in the straight to win cheekily at the line.
Hogan was not present for the win but reported by phone "Peak Oil has been crying out for good ground but hated that tight track. He wants a more galloping track and is a half brother to Irish St Leger winner Collier Hill."
