When called upon for her effort with under a quarter of a mile left to race by Kevin Manning, Patrimonim produced a turn of foot that soon had her rivals chasing shadows and the 10/1 shot (easy to back after her stable companion Foinse had finished fifth in the first as market-leader) eventually crossed the line a stylish four and a half length winner from Samollie in the Follow Ladbrokes On Twitter
Handicap.
A 75,000 Euro yearling at Goffs in 2010, Patrimonim was having her first start on the polytrack here having encountered generally slower ground in four previous efforts on the turf.
Ger Flynn, representing Jim Bolger, said, after consulting the Master of Coolcullen by phone: "Jim hopes that she'll be able to win another one up here.
"She handled the surface well and has plenty of speed." Dimitar was reported to have run free in the early stages and hung outwards.(AM & EM)
