Dont Go Yet (11/2) landed the Meath Farm Machinery Handicap Chase in the hands of Keith Donoghue.
The Fruits Of Love gelding, runner-up in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse last term and making only his fourth appearance over fences, tracked the leaders and was shaken up to challenge between the final two fences.
A soaring leap at the last helped to seal victory as he ran on well to defeat Stansfield by five and a half lengths with Spare Brakes another three quarters of a length away in third.
Winning owner/trainer Eddie Cawley said: “He was unlucky last time as he jumped into the backend of another horse and the jockey was catapulted out of the saddle.
“I actually fancied him more that day than I did today, I thought he was in better shape going there than today.
“This race fell his way and I thought we'd have a go at it.
“Keith went very wide all the way around to try and get the best of the ground, it's not always ideal but the ground is fair tacky and it's tough going.
“He's fit and well and he's in long enough. He'll go on a bit better ground and we could even run him on summer soft.
“We could still go back for a hurdle with him as well, we'll see what comes up.”
