"He'll be entered in a few races at Galway and he's also in at Killarney next week," revealed Tom Mullins after Grand Partner owned by his wife Helen, took the concluding Leopardstown Club Membership (Q.R.) Maiden in the hands of Finny Maguire.
The winner (9/4), Swamp Fox (7/4 favourite) and Elusive Ivy (7/2) dominated the betting for this mile seven furlong 'nightcap,' and it was the first-named that proved strongest in the final furlong.
Grand Partner got the better of Skilled by two and a quarter lengths. The aforementioned Swamp Fox was third, whilst Elusive Ivy finished sixth.
"He came out of Bellewstown so well I thought I may as well have a pop at this and I'm glad I did obviously," added Mullins.
"He likes that ground. He's a horse that has had his troubles."
