Paraphernalia another for Wachman at Gowran
Paraphernalia was only cut down close home when looking a likely scorer at Listowel last time and the daughter of Dalakhani came good at the fifth time of asking in the opening Gowran Park Golf & Leisure Maiden under Wayne Lordan.
In the familiar Sonia Rogers silks, well-backed favourite Paraphernalia got the better of Phoebe Van Gelder after a good duel, prevailing by three parts of a length.
Winning trainer, David Wachman, fresh from his success with Barbadine in the last race at Dundalk last night, said: "She deserved to win on the balance of her form. She appreciated the ease in the ground and it is good that she has won as she is a half-sister to Girouette (winner of the Listed Sweet Mimosa Stakes and the Group 3 Patrick P O'Leary Memorial Phoenix Sprint at the Curragh last year)."
