Paddy The Celeb landed a double for Michael Halford at Roscommon this evening when claiming the Connolly's Red Mills Handicap.
Shane Foley sent the well backed 4/1 favourite (from 10/1 in morning) into the lead a furlong-and-a-half out.
Paul McMahon's charge stayed on gamely in then closing stages to post a three-parts-of-a-length victory over Noble Call
The winner had been a good third at the Curragh on his return but could only finish sixth when sent off 6/4 favourite for a Dundalk contest earlier this month.
"His run at the Curragh was good enough to win this and he left the Dundalk run behind," said stable representative Garrett Cotter.
"He has schooled well over hurdles and will mix it during the summer. He handled that ground well."
