Pacific wins Tralee opener
Curragh based trainer Mark Roper registered his first winner in almost a year when his Kingsdale Pacific caused a 25/1 upset in the opening Crosse's Water Drilling Maiden Hurdle.
The son of Charente River, under Tommy Treacy, tracked the leaders, progressed to lead at the second last before staying on well for a nine length win over Rochester Row
Afterwards Roper admitted "I'm surprise by that but Kingsdale Pacific loves soft ground and so does his brother Kingsdale Ocean. I've no plans from here."
