Otay Too Strong for Daddy

Sun 31st May 2009, 15:49

Otay Kawn trained by Willie Mullins and Decoy Daddy handled by his brother Tony, were the first two in the market for the Bloomfield House Hotel Hurdle and they dominated the finish with the former, the 15/8 favourite, beating Decoy Daddy by two and a half lengths.

Successful rider, David Casey said: "He handled the ground well, we didn't go very quick and I was concerned that I might have been a bit too far back but he picked up well and jumped well."

For trainer, Dessie Hughes, after his across the card double, this race will go down as one to forget as he lost Superior Ben who broke a leg before the second last.
