Oscer Romero bolted up in division one of the opportunity handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe to continue Philip Rothwell's good run.
The Court Cave gelding travelled powerfully on the outer after the third last and eased into contention upon touching down after the next.
He swept around his rivals approaching the home turn and took over before the last.
He popped it well and strode right away to win as he pleased under Hugh Morgan by nine and a half lengths at 10/3. Pino Boy picked up a runner-up prize at 25/1 by a nose from Get Phar (13/2).
“That’s for the best, most supportive and amazing owner (Oliver Barden) any man could wish to train for,” said Rothwell.
“If I were ever to get a superstar horse I’d hope it would be for him.
“He’s always had nice horses with me but for the last I don’t know how long everything that could go wrong went wrong.
“It might be only an 80 to 95 but it means a lot to get that.”
